NSS Special Camp ,KGNC-2021

NSS Unit of KGNC organized Special Camp based on the theme “Wellness for all ages”  at Pillaiyarkuppam from 15^th March 2021 to 21^st March 2021(7days). The Presidential address was given by Prof. Sumathy P, Vice- Principal, KGNC and Chief Guest address was given by      Dr. Kulandaiswamy, State NSS Officer, Puducherry orated on NSS duties and appreciated the volunteers for their service. During the Special Camp, following activites were conducted by NSS UNIT of KGNC

• Walkathon for women and girls for healthy living on the lines of fit India”- flagship initiative undertaken by NSS volunteers of KGNC from Health and Wellness Centre, Koravallimedu, Puducherry, held on 16-03-2021
• Role play on “Geriatrics are our asset” enacted by volunteers, followed by Blood sugar screening was done for 30 elderly people at P.S.T Old age home, Puducherry, on 16-03-2021.
• Awareness programme on “Hygiene-Impact on environment” at Koravallimedu and Invited Faculty & Students from IGIDS, SBV for a Dental camp organized by KGNC NSS Unit held on 17-03-2021
• NSS Unit of KGNC organized “Yoga on wellness activities for health promotion” programme at Hayagriva public school, Puducherry. NSS Volunteer Mr. Anandha Narayanan, final year B.Sc. Nursing student from KGNC done Yoga Demonstration, held on 17-03-2021
• Cooking demonstration on “Eat right eat healthy” at Thiyagi Subramaniya Padayachi Govt.Hr.SecSchool. Koravallimedu, Puducherry, held on 18-03-2021
• NSS Volunteers actively participated in demonstration on “EVM/VVPAT electronic voting machine” by Election department, Puducherry. And organized Puppet Show on Science behind Indian culture at Government Primary School, Koravallimedu, held on 19-03-2021
• Sapling planting ceremony was organized at KGNC and it was inaugurated by   Renuka K, Principal, KGNC. She gave exclusive deliberation on importance of planting, held on 21-03-2021
• Health and Wellness Centre, Koravallimedu organized NCD clinic at Madhikrishnapuram. NSS Volunteers actively involved Public Health Screening for 1670 beneficiaries, held on 21-03-2021
• The Valediction Ceremony of the NSS Special Camp was Presided by Vishalakshi R, State Programme coordinator NSS, Puducherry. She appreciated the students of KGNC for their active participation in social Responsibility through the door of NSS Unit, held on 21-03-2021
