 Genomic Testing Facility (GTF) is the specialty genomics diagnostics services center of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV), established by the School of Biomedical Sciences in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute and 30M Genomics Private Limited, Hyderabad. GTF located in the CIDRF premises of the MGMCRI College Block second floor, was inaugurated and inducted into the services of the society by Shri M.K.Rajagopalan, Chancellor, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth on February 19, 2024, at 02.30 pm in the august presence of Prof. (Dr.) Nihar Ranjan Biswas, Vice-Chancellor, SBV. The scope of the GTF was released by Prof. Seetesh Ghose, Dean, MGMCRI and the list of diagnostic tests available at GTF was released by Prof. Nirmal Courmare, Director (Health, Hospital and ORS), SBV. The GTF establishment was coordinated and executed by Prof. Balanehru Subramanian, Principal, School of Biomedical Sciences. The inaugural event was attended by senior functionaries of SBV. The establishment of GTF and its inauguration was made possible by the unconditional support from the visionary leaders and senior administrators of SBV. Genomic Testing Facility (GTF) services the needs of healthcare providers in modern medicine, practitioners of Indian system of medicine, practitioners of veterinary healthcare management and those in need of such services in government or private. Analytical and R&D services at GTF are carried out by a lead team of dynamic professionals with Ph.D. qualifications. GTF services also include diagnostics of pharmacogenomics, bacterial and viral pathogens, genetic and auto-immune disorders, organ dysfunctions, transplant diagnostics and tropical diseases.
