The workshop “SP recruitment and training” was conducted by the MSC,MGMCRI team comprising of Dr.Dinker R Pai ,Dr.Sobana R & Dr.Hemanth Kumar VR on the 13 th February 2024 at the SSSMCRI,Tiruporur.It was organized by the Medical Education Unit of the SSSMCRI. This workshop sensitised the faculty on the basics of simulated patient SP roles and their utility in communication skills training. Faculty learnt the steps of selection, recruitment and training of SPs for teaching and assessment of various elements of communication. It was attended by 20 participants of various clinical,para clinical , preclinical and nursing specialities of SSSMCRI.The program was much appreciated by the participants as majority expressed it was interactive and would be useful for teaching communication skills to their students.
