The Anti-Ragging Committee of Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing organized an Antiragging Sensitization Programme on 19.09.2023 which was held in the Lecture Hall I, Ground floor, College Block, SSSCMRI. The theme of the programme was “Awareness against ragging – delving into the anti-ragging legislation, penalties and strategies for eradicating ragging. The aim of the
program was to create an awareness about ragging and measures to prevent it. The program was organized by Prof.Dr. Helen Shaji J C, Principal, SSSCON. The event was coordinated by Dr.Golda Sahaya Rani, Member Secretary, Antiragging Committee. The program started at 11.30 am with the invocation of SBV Anthem followed by welcome address by Dr.Sujatha, Professor and HOD Dept of Community Health Nursing, SSSCON. Dr. Helen Shaji J C Principal, SSSCON delivered the keynote address. The functions of Antiragging Committee was explained by Dr.Golda Sahaya Rani, Professor, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, SSSCON. The Guest Lecture, was given by Mr.A.Bharath, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chengalpattu, who presented on the topic Delving into the Anti-Ragging Legislation, Penalties and strategies for eradicating ragging. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Snowden, Associate Professor, SSSCON. About 300 B.Sc Nursing students attended the program. The program was concluded at 12.40 pm with the national anthem.
