“Handbook of Procedural Skills” was compiled and published by the MSC, MGMCRI .The official book release was on the 21st of July 2023 by our Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Nihar Ranjan Biswas.
The “Handbook of Procedural Skills” provides step-by-step guidelines for teaching/learning and assessment of various procedural skills a medical undergraduate must possess. The content of the book was contributed by seventeen departments of MGMCRI, compiled and edited by the Medical Simulation Center. This handbook ensures consistency of skills teaching across departments and is designed to act as a guide for faculty members to ensure uniform skills training. The manual fulfils the need of the hour in view of the NMC requirements for skills teaching using simulation. It will ensure that our graduate medical students are empowered with the necessary skill set to perform their community role as a primary care doctor. The handbook is a testament to the cooperation and contribution of various departments and support of the administration of MGMCRI, SBV.
