Planning of the Course
CHPE conducted a brief survey on the needs and requirements of Leadership in context of Health Sciences University. Based on the survey as well as International literature in this field a course was designed for the Faculties as well as PG Residents of SBV and external participants. While designing the course the credit requirement was taken into consideration. Accordingly the course was awarded 2 credits as per the UGC norms.
Communication was sent through the official announcement made by the SBV for all certificate programs. Circulars were also sent to all the constituent colleges of SBV to nominate internal participants who are motivated in this field.
All the nominations were scrutinised by the Registry and the list of participants was finalised by the CHPE.

Ten Leadership Skills essential for the future leaders (2K25):

The certificate course was held in the MEU block for two days (5-6 October 2019). In all 14 participants attended the course out of these 11 from MGMCRI, 2 from SSSMCRI and 1 from IGIDS.
The activities of the course consisted of the following:
• Pre – test and Post – test self-administered by the candidates
• Two video conference sessions conducted by eminent leaders, viz Dr.Avinash Supe from Mumbai and Dr. Vivek Saoji from Pune who spoke on different aspects on Leadership including tips for individuals and organizations respectively
• Direct interactive sessions held by various Resource persons including Prof. Subash Chandra Parija, Hon’le Vice chancellor, SBV(DU); Prof. Krishna Seshadri, Consultant and Visiting Professor SBV(DU); Dr. Zayapragassarazan, HOD Medical Education, JIPMER; Prof. Ananda Balayogi, Director CYTER; Prof. Joseph Philipraj, Dr.Jagan Mohan, HOD MI and Prof. B.V. Adkoli, Director CHPE
• The Program involved group activities and open house sessions in which the participants were introduced about project planning as an important tool for Leadership development
• A Program evaluation was conducted using the Google form.
• Certificates were issued after successful course completion which included a project submission and Google form.
