A CNE on Breastfeeding Awareness Among Working Women was organised jointly by the Nursing Education Unit of Shri Sathya Sai College Of Nursing and Women’s Cell SBV on 07.08.2023 in hybrid mode in the MEU Hall, Third Floor, College Block, SSSMCI and Online through Zoom Platform from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The welcome address was delivered by Mr.Snowden, Member Secretary, Nursing Education Unit of Shri Sathya Sai College Of Nursing. Prof.Dr.Helen Shaji J.C., Principal, Shri Sathya Sai College Of Nursing introduced the guest speaker Josephine M. Francis Xavier, Lactation Consultant at Trillium Health Partners and Clinical Instructor at University of Toronto, Canada who presented on the topic “Enabling Breastfeeding – Making A Difference For Working Parents”. Dr.Golda Sahaya Rani, HOD and Professor of Medical Surgical Nursing, introduced the second speaker Mrs.K. Subhashini Srivijay, Senior Dietitian cum Lecturer, SSMCRI
Hospital and Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing who presented on the topic “Role Of Nutrition In Enhancing Breast Milk”. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.Emy Jancy Rani, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing. Around 100 delegates participated in the CNE through offline and online mode.
