Founding Day Celebrations of CMTER- Bala Nada Sangamam

Bala Nada Sangamam program  of SBV which was conducted as a part of the Founding Day Celebrations of Center for Music Theapy Education and Research aimed to  maintain, sustain or restore  a healthy  environment through music and positive sound vibrations to fill the environment with universal energy and harmony and to ensure public health and peace through mass chanting and singing by School Students.

CMTER celebrated its foundation day of the year 2020 on 5-3-2020. Around 300 students of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Millennium School, Cuddalore in the age group of 7 to 12  participated in the mass singing of Thirukural and slokas about the nine planets in Tamil language composed in Indian classical music for about 30 minutes as a part of “Nadam”  an environmental health initiative of SBV. This program is second in line to the inauguration of “Nadam” the public health initiative through music by SBV

Prof. S C Parija, Hon. Vice Chancellor, SBV inaugurated “Bala Nada Sangamam” the confluence of young school students who were in the age group of 7 to 12 years who demonstrated mass singing. Prof. Sumathy Sundar, Director CMTER delivered the welcome address and Prof. N. Aananthakrishnan, Dean of Faculty, Prof. M. Ravishankar, Dean of MGMCRI and Prof. A.R. Srinivasan, Registrar, SBV delivered felicitations.

The faculty and the Students of CMTER together  performed a musical ensemble “Swagatham” during the event. Prof. Saravana Kumar, Dean of Dental Sciences, Prof. C Adithan, Dean of Research,Prof. Seetesh Ghose, Vice Principal(Curriculum) were also present.
