 As a part of commemoration of World Earth Day, Herbal Garden plantation was done at the Rural Health Training Centre of SSSMCRI. A total of 31 participants (community medicine CRMI students, RHTC staffs and Dr.R. Ganesh, Associate Professor of Forensic medicine & IQAC coordinator, Dr.R. Sindhuri, RHTC centre incharge & IQAC Member secretary, Dr. Pragnya, Assistant Professor of community medicine department & UHTC centre incharge) participated in the program. Welcome address and unfolding the World Earth day theme “Invest In Our Planet” was done by Dr.Rajalakshmi, Community Medicine Postgraduate. A brief talk on importance of celebrating world earth day was given by Dr. Sindhuri(AP). Herbal plantation done by community medicine CRMI students at RHTC. 11 different varieties of herbal plantation were done at RHTC Sembakkam. Uses of herbal plants and importance of herbal gardening was explained by Dr. Ganesh , the queries of the participants were clarified and closing of program was done by Dr.Elavarasi Medical Officer RHTC. The session ended with refreshment. The session was conducted following social distancing and personal protective measures.
