The department of Pathology in association with Central laboratory, MGMCRI, SBV University conducted a Guest lecture on “Quality control in the laboratory” in commemoration of the Laboratory week celebration on 6th May 2022 between 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm at the venue Department library, Department of Pathology, College Block, MGMCRI. The guest speaker was Dr. Priyavadana, who is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at AIIMS Rishikesh. She is trained in hematology with a fellowship from CMC Vellore. She imparted her knowledge on best practices and troubleshooting in quality control in laboratories, which can be applied to all branches of laboratories of medical hospitals. The session was conducted in English and Tamil, making it easier for the target audience to understand and interact. We had 50 participants who attended the session online and offline. In addition, some participants from outside colleges wished to attend the session online for whom the online link was provided.
