 
The Lamplighting Ceremony was conducted for the 5 th batch of B.Sc. Nursing Students of Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing in the main Auditorium of SSSMCRI on 01/11/2023. The auspicious Lamplighting ceremony began at 10 am with the invocation of the Tamil Thai Valthu and SBV Anthem, followed by a welcome address by Prof.Dr.Helen Shaji J.C., Principal, Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing. The traditional lamp was lit by the dignitaries, followed by lighting the students lamp by the Chief Guest, Dr.Hema V H, Principal, Faculty
of Nursing, Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute, and Prof.Dr.Helen Shaji J.C., Principal, Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing. Mrs.Emerald Rajakumari, Nursing Superintendent, SSSMCRI Hospital, lead the students in taking the Nurses Pledge and the 2 nd year students led the dedication song. Certificate and Medals were Distributed for Academic Achievement to the toppers and rank holders in the University Examination. Prof. Joydeb Roychowdhury, Medical Superintendent, SSSMCRI and Prof. Sukumaran. A, Dean, SSSMCRI, felicitated the freshers and achievers. Educational and Research Institute, followed by the keynote address by Prof. Nihar Ranjan Biswas, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof.A.L.Mahalakshmi, Vice Principal, SSSCON, and followed by the National Anthem by 12:00 Pm. The program was hosted by Ms.Abilasha and Ms.Angel, Nursing Tutors from Department of Midwifery and Obstetrical Nursing, and High Tea was provided at the end. The program was commended by the dignitaries and chief guest for being meticulously conducted. We wish the very best to every student of the Kryptonite Batch – 2023 as they begin their journey towards becoming a Registered Nurse.
