 
The National Faculty Development Program on Leadership, Team building and Conflict management with collaboration of Academy of Health Profession Educators was inaugurated by Prof. Subash Chandra Parija, Vice Chancellor, SBV on 21.12.19 at Bapuji Central Library, SBV. Prof. Partha Nandi, organizing secretary, welcomed the gathering following which Prof. B.V. Adkoli, Organizing chairman sensitized the delegates on the objectives of the Faculty development program. Prof. Subash Chandra Parija addressed the gathering on the initiatives of SBV and about the FDP. Prof. M. Shivasakthy, Joint organizing secretary proposed the vote of thanks. The inauguration was followed by self-introduction of the delegates and the organizers and pretest.
The first session was on skype by Prof. RashmiVyas, Director, FAIMER, Philadelphia. She addressed the gathering on leadership and educational scholarship with an online group activity. After the tea break, Prof. Partha Nandi took the session on SWOT analysis. The next session was Skype session ‘Appreciative inquiry’ interviewing Prof. Misra, Former Director AIIMS New Delhi. The pre-lunch session on mentoring and leadership was delivered by Prof. Subash Chandra Parija. Post lunch interactive session on leadership core skills was delivered by Prof. Zayapragasarazzan. This was again followed by a Skype session by Prof. Thomas Chacko from Kerala on Appreciative Inquiry emphasizing the networking role of leaders. The last session of the day was on Communication skills for leaders by Prof. Sukanto Sarkar and Conflict management by Prof. B. V. Adkoli. The conflict management session had interesting role play on various conflict management types and culminated with a group photograph.
The second day session started with a session on Simulation Pedagogy – A potent tool for tomorrow’s leaders by Prof. DinkerPai. Another Skype session on Appreciative Inquiry was delivered by Dr. Supten Sarbadhikari, Consultant from New Delhi who spoke on the role of leaders in the wake of digital India. The second day had an interesting hands on session on IT Tools for the Leaders by Prof. Jagan Mohan in the e-consortium of Central Library, SBV. The session on Character building was delivered by Prof. P.H. Ananthanarayan, former Dy Director General (DGHS), Ministry of H & FW, followed by Prof. B. Vishnu Bhat, former Dean and Director, JIPMER on Research and Publication Capacity building: Tips for leadership. The time management session was delivered by Prof. M. Shivasakthy in three parts on both the days. The final session was on Review, reflect and recharge by Prof. Avinash Supe on skype. The program ended with open feedback by the participants, valediction and Certification.
