As a part of World Food safety day , celebration, a health education session was conducted using charts and skit performed by crri’s for the general public and beneficiaries at Meettu Thandalam in MGNREG (100 Days workers ). A total of 80 adults participated in the Program of general and diabetic screening camp. Health Education was planned based on awareness to general public on Food safety,Food adultery and importance of food handling and cooking . Welcome address and unfolding the theme of world food safety day was done by Dr.Pragnya Rettayan.K (Senior Resident) UHTC in charge , Dr.Vishali.S Medical officer UHTC gave talk on importance of food handling and cooking methods , Dr.Raja Lakshmi 1st year post graduate created awareness on Food safety and adulteration. Crri’s performed skid on food adultery and food safety , and B.sc second year nursing students explained about nutritional food habits and daily dietary allowances . Various Queries raised by participants were clarified by Dr.Pragnya Rettayan.K . Vote of thanks was given by Dr.Pragnya Rettayan.K The session ended with a Refreshment.
