A team of efficient thirty comprised of 5 teaching faculty, 20 CRRI and 5 support staffs were actively involved in the Chettinadu Oral Health Programme conducted from 28th to 30th November 2015. The team covered two villages with the support of AMM Hospital, Pallathur and Vallal Mena Hospital, Kodikottai. In this programme, comprehensive oral health care was provided for 593 patients and delivered 933 procedures (239 Extractions, 349 Oral prophylaxis, and 355 Restorations). As a part of social responsibility, health education aid titled “Oral Manifestations of Diabetes Mellitus” was donated to Vallal Mena Hospital, Kodikottai. The Team PHD rendered free dental treatment to the people who had limited access to dental treatment in the outskirts of Sivagangai district.
