 The Department of Pulmonary Medicine, under the aegis of Indian Chest
The society conducts a Spirometry Technician Training Workshop in the first quarter of every year. Technicians participate from all over South India. Demonstration and Hands-on training are given after theory sessions. Certificates are given at the end of the program. For the year 2019, the program was conducted on 28.03.2019 and 29.03.2019 at the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, MGMCRI. Dr.Pajanivel.R, Professor & HOD was the course coordinator. Kamaludeen, Senior Resident, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, MGMCRI were the other internal experts along with Mr.Lakshmanan – Senior PFT Technician as an external expert. The program was attended by 5 participants including 2 first year PGs.
Pre-test and post-test were conducted. All the participants gave an overwhelming response to the entire program.
