 The Performing Arts club conducted Fiesta, an intra collegemega cultural fest from 4th to 9th July 2022. We are very proud to say that we conducted 13 events over the week. We conducted Adzap,Antakshari, Variety show and Guess the song, Solo classical and non-classical singing, Duet singing, Solo instrumental, Adaptunes, Solo classical and non-classical dance. On 8th and 9th July the main stage events. Together in harmony, Duet classical and non-classical dance, Group dance were conducted on July 8th and Rampwalk on July 9th in the SBV ground. We received enthusiastic participation from all the students. The Chief Guest for the stage event on July 8th was Prof. M. Ravishankar, Director of C – DREaMs and Former Dean MGMCRI and the Guest of honor was Prof. N. Ananthakrishnan, Dean of faculty, SBV and Professor of Eminence, Department of General Surgery. The event was also presided by our Dean Prof. Seetesh Ghose, Vice -Principal student affairs Prof. Padmavathi Shanmuganathan, Director of student and Alumni affairs, Professor and Head, Department of ENT Dr. P. Karthikeyan, General Manager Admin Mrs. Asha Suresh Babu, Faculty coordinators Prof. Dr. R. Kannan, Department of General Surgery and Dr. Uma Narayanamurthy, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology. The event commenced with a welcome address by the President Ms. TF. DipnaPrabhu followed by the Chief guest and Dean’s address. Then prize distribution for Ilakiya and Creativita was given. Special performances were given by our students after which the main cultural events started. On July 9th the event was presided by Prof. Dr. P. Karthikeyan, the Dean, Vice Principal (Student affairs), and Faculty coordinators. The event started with Prize distribution for Talentia and Fiesta. A special performance was given by the persons with disabilities from the Oasis trust in Cuddalore district. Then the battle of ramp walk among the 6 houses began. After ramp the results were announced and the event came to an end with vote of thanks by our Joint secretary Mr. G. Sabarish. The overall best house in Fiesta was bagged by the Red house.
