As a rituals in health care profession White Coat Ceremony for the MBBS batch joined on 2019 was conducted on 06.09.2019 in Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Hall in the college block. This ceremony was solemnized in the presence of Dean Faculty of Medicine Prof. N. Ananthakrishnan , Dean of MGMCRI Prof. M. Ravishankar, Medical Superintendent Prof. Nirmal Coumare V, Vice-Principal Curriculum , Prof. Seetesh Ghose and Vice-Principal (Students) , Heads of the Department and faculty of preclinical departments. This program started with the College anthem and followed by welcome address by Prof. Nirmal Coumare V, address by Prof. N. Ananthakrishnan on ‘Progress as a clinical students’. This was followed by explaining the ‘significance of white coat ceremony’ ,’formal donning of white coat to students by the senior faculty and administering of student Hippcratic oath’ by Prof. M. Ravishankar. Prizes were distributed to the winners of elocution & poster competition on ‘what it mean to be a doctor’ and free style program on ’making technology your slave‘ .The program ended with national anthem. This program was coordinated by Dr. Richa Gupta, Associate Professor, coordinator for foundation course.
