International Workshop on “Program & Course Outcomes – Mapping & Analysis” started with SBV anthem, IHRC theme song, Video clipping of SBV, Messages of Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor. This was followed by the welcome address by Prof. K.A. Narayan, Director, Institute of Health Professions Education. Dr. Annie Sheeba introduced the chief-guests. This was followed by the lecture and hands-on training on Program & Course Outcomes – Mapping & Analysis was given by Assoc. Prof. Sundram. AIMST University.
The parameters of all the accreditation bodies and the National Education Policy are focused towards the needs of 21st century learners and the changes to be adapted in the academic institutions. This program sensitizes the faculty members and the administrators on the key areas of change and the directions to move ahead. The participants of the workshop were able to Understand the concepts of Program Educational Objectives, Programme & Course Outcomes/ University Graduate Attributes; Describe the purpose of curriculum mapping and perform curriculum mapping exercise; Interpret analysis of curriculum mapping in the context of feedback to program co-coordinators; General guidelines for curriculum mapping analysis – Recommendations that can be made for curricular revision; Use of curriculum mapping in a constructively aligned program, to monitor the level of achievement of competencies from novice to expert.
