WORLD ANTIMICROBIAL AWARENESS MONTH – 30/11/2021
World Antimicrobial Awareness Month was commemorated at Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing on 30th November 2021. A Webinar was organized on the Theme “Antibiotic Stewardship And Combating Antibiotic Resistance” held on Zoom Platform from the Conference Hall of Shri Sathya Sai College Of Nursing. The program started at 10:30 am and ended at 12:30 pm.
The program was compered by Mrs.Mahalakshmi S., Professor, SSSCON. After a warm welcome address given by Mr.Snowden, Assistant Professor, SSSCON. Dr.Helen Shaji J.C., Principal, Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing presented the first session unfolding the theme of the World Antimicrobial Awareness Month which was “Spread Awareness, Stop Resistance”. Dr. Karthika Jeyakumar, Professor and HOD Department of Microbiology, Shri Sathya Sai Medical College And Research Institute, was the Guest Speaker, she presented a Lecture on “Antibiotic Stewardship And Combating Antibiotic Resistance”. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.Mahalakshmi S., Professor, SSSCON. In commemoration of the day an e Quiz was also conducted online through google forms and certificates were issued to the participants.
A total of 163 delegates participated in the webinar from various institutions, and they gave feedback that the webinar was a good learning experience.
