INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION – EMBRACE 2024 WEF SSSMCRI

The International Women’s day was celebrated by the Women Empowerment Forum (WEF) SSSMCRI on 6th March 2024 in the college auditorium, SSSMCRI. The program began at 10.00 am with the inaugural ceremony. The masters of the ceremony were Abhijeet, Jagan, Prathiba Pramod, Shivasree. It started off with SBV anthem and Thamizhthai Vazhhukal. The Cheirperson, WEF SSSMCRI welcomed the gathering. This was succeeded by the lamp lighting. Respected Dean, Dr. JOYDEB Choudhary gave the presidential address. Dr. Reshma, Member Secretary WEF SSSMCRI presented the future activities of the forum to the gathering. The chief guest addressed the gathering with her powerful words infact she took the whole crowd in her hands. It was a wonderful session highlighting the laws that protects women in the community. She was felicitated by putting ponnadai by the member secretary, Memento by Dean and flower pot as a token of love by the chairperson. The overall toppers of various batches from medical and nursing were felicitated by giving mementos. Faculty contributions from preclinical, Para clinical and clinical departments were also felicitated. Nursing College was also felicitated in the event. The official inaugural function ended with vote of thanks proposed by the Member secretary, WEF, SSSMCRI The official ceremony was succeeded by cultural programs by the students facilities and other Non-teaching staff from various departments of medical nursing allied science Sumptuous lunch -veg and Non veg were distributed the students of various batches and faculties and staffs of various department- medical , Nursing ,allied science The treasurers – Dr. Gomathi, Dr.Julie along with the chairperson and the member secretary audited the amount collected against the program and the balance amount was handed over to the accounts department as WEF fund for the future activities. The program was conducted in well organised manner and all enjoyed the program to the fullest.
