 
The Football and Futsal Men’s Tournament at SBV University Chennai Campus held on 25.04.27, attracted students from both institutions of SSSMCRI and SSSCON in the campus. Organized by the Department of Physical Education & Sports, 10 Football teams and 24 Futsal participated with enthusiasm. This event served as a platform for evaluating student’s performance and encouraging physical fitness and improvement of football and Futsal team strength.Key benefits include promoting physical fitness, skill development, community building, performance evaluation, active lifestyle encouragement, and networking opportunities. Overall, the tournament effectively fosters physical health, skill enhancement, and community engagement among SBV University Chennai campus students.
KNOCK-OUT FORMAT, PRIZE AWARDS, AND GUEST OF HONOR
The tournament was conducted on a knock-out basis, with 10 Football teams, 24 Futsal teams participating. The trophies & medals certificates were awarded to the Winner, Runner up, third place and Fourth place.The inauguration and also the valedictory of tournament were graced by Pro. Dr. Joydep Raychowdhury Dean – SSSMCRI, Prof Dr. Helen Shaji JC Principal – SSSCON as the guest of honor.Director of Physical Education for the tournament Secretary Dr. L. Manivannan, introduced the guest to the players, and the guest commenced the inaugural match with a coin toss. Mr. Chellakumar match Referee and his members also attended and witnessed the match, showing his support for the tournament. The prizes were distributed to for four teams Football and Futsal by Dean of SSSMCRI.Â
